"WOOSTER" Ageing Comparison
The "Wooster" knit, a new standard that is highly versatile for both outerwear and innerwear, features a perfect 5-gauge low-gauge feel and a slightly oversized silhouette that can be worn like a sweatshirt. This makes it practical for wear across three seasons: spring, autumn, and winter. In this article, we compare a brand-new version of the "Wooster" with one that has been worn for three years to showcase its aging process!
The enjoyment of color fading is only possible with the "Wooster," thanks to its resistance to distortion and pilling!
The popular "WOOSTER" knit series offers several advantages: "a perfect level of oversizing", "a chunky low-gauge feel", "excellent shape retention that prevents distortion and pilling, allowing it to be worn for many years" and "usable across three seasons, except summer". Additionally, it uses "C-Wave," a cotton yarn with a total of six twisted strands, two of which are combined with three-ply yarns of varying strength, allowing the knit to naturally fade over time.
When it fades, the color changes to a slightly lighter tone overall. The ribbed areas and seams, which have more noticeable texture differences, show the fading more clearly. The ribbing has stretched slightly, but there is no distortion, loss of shape, or pilling.
This comparison was made with the "WOOSTER SWEATER in MLN navy". In the new model, the "THE WOOSTER SWEATER", the tension at the cuffs and hem has been strengthened, making it even more resistant to distortion.
